Expert profiles

 

       Xu Qingquan is director and researcher, Institute of Literature, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS). He is a doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Chinese Marxism Studies, SASS, and a supervisor of Master’s candidates for the Journalism and Communication major at the Institute of Journalism, SASS. He graduated with a doctoral degree in Literature and Aesthetics, Fudan University, and did his postdoctoral research in theoretical economics at Institute of Economics, SASS. He was formerly the chief expert of the innovation project team of the Public Cultural Service and Cultural Governance Research, SASS, and is now the chief expert of the innovation project team of the Mobile Internet Omni-Media Communication Research, SASS. He is a distinguished professor at Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, a council member of the Shanghai Society of International Culture, and editor-in-chief of the Research Report on the Development of International Journalism and Communication (Blue Book). He has been the editor of the Report on the Development of Shanghai’s Public Cultural Services (Blue Book) for several consecutive years. He specializes in academic research and teaching in critical communications, media economic management, cultural ideology, social public opinion analysis, and cultural industry and undertakings. He has rich experience in cultural development planning and decision-making consulting.

       Hui Zhibin, Doctor of Management, is researcher and director of the Center for Internet Research, CASS. He is also a member of the National Information Security Standardization Technical Committee, a convener of the Internet Information Frontier Advisory Group of the Shanghai office of the Cyberspace Administration of China, a member of the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Security Committee, a member of the Shanghai Public Data Expert Advisory Committee and deputy director of the Expert Committee of Shanghai Digital Governance Research Institute. He specializes in research on Internet security, data protection, and digital economy. He is the chief editor of the blue books of the China Cyberspace Security Development and Global Digital Economy Competitiveness. He presided over more than 30 research and planning projects, and published more than 50 academic papers and articles.
