中国东方航空开通首条上海至伦敦全货运航线   2026-06-24

The first all-cargo flight between Shanghai and London operated by Eastern Air Logistics Co, the freight unit under parent company China Eastern Air Holding, debuted on Tuesday, carrying 96.3 tons of cargo from the Shanghai Pudong International Airport to London Stansted Airport, according to the Shanghai-based carrier.

The new all-cargo route is expected to further expand logistics links between China and Europe, supporting closer trade and economic ties.

Operating every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the cargo flight will transport cross-border e-commerce parcels, high-end light industrial products, electronic components, and high-precision parts from Shanghai. On the return flight from London, the aircraft will carry imports including medical equipment, automotive parts, and fresh produce such as salmon.

The route will enable China Eastern to better facilitate cargo transportation between Shanghai and London’s three airports to meet diverse logistics needs, allowing goods to reach major global consumer markets more efficiently and conveniently.

Currently, Eastern Air Logistics operates 16 routes between Shanghai and international destinations. The launch of the new cargo flight is expected to improve the cargo carrier's capability in connecting China and the Europe within a resilient network, and contribute to Shanghai's development into an international shipping hub with global influence.
