Shanghai is launching the Oasis Global Sustainable Tech Innovation Competition this month, as part of the coming Shanghai Energy Conservation Week events.
Set for a synchronized dual-city launch in Shanghai and London, the initiative creates a closed-loop ecosystem combining technological innovation, supply-demand matching and real-world industrial application.
Spotlights of the competition:
Industry-First Practice: Leading enterprises are putting real production-line bottlenecks on the table–such as digital carbon management and solid-state battery manufacturing–ensuring solutions are instantly practical.
Seven Core Tracks: The event targets urgent economic sectors, including Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS), next-gen energy storage, and circular economy systems.
Immediate Scaling: Instead of just winning prize money, top teams win the right to deploy and test their tech directly inside Shanghai's premier automotive, steel and chemical manufacturing pipelines.
The Shanghai Energy Conservation Week, an annual event to promote the development of a green and low-carbon economy, will be held between June 15 and 21 this year, with several dozen sub-events.
Another spotlight is a festival showcasing sustainable products, green techs and old electric devices dating back up to one century ago.
