More than 150 journalists from mainstream media around the country started their four-day visit to Pudong yesterday to report the new area's achievements over the past 28 years.
After Shenzhen in Guangdong Province and Jinjiang in Fujian Province, Pudong is the latest stop of a tour initiated in May. It is organized by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to mark the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up.
Weng Zuliang, Party secretary of Pudong, briefed the journalists on major achievements Pudong has made in the past 28 years to highlight the success of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as well as vividly displaying the national strategy of reform and opening-up.
