Shanghai Chongming, the wetland wonder 2025-07-24
At the 15th Conference of the Parties (COP15) of the Convention on Wetlands (CWC) held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, on July 24, the list of the third batch of International Wetland Cities (IWCs) was formally announced, and nine Chinese cities, including Chongming, were certified as International Wetland Cities (IWCs), which is the first time for Shanghai to be certified as IWC.
