More NGOs registered 2017-06-22
A further 21 Shanghai representative offices of overseas non-governmental organization (NGOs) have received registration certificates from Shanghai Public Security Bureau, police said yesterday.
The NGOs are from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.
Earlier this year 14 NGOs were granted the certificates after China’s new law on overseas NGOs took effect on January 1. More than 150 NGOs have made inquiries at the bureau’s registration counter.
The NGOs are from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong.
