Foreign companies in Jing’an District are making big contributions to the ongoing battle against the novel coronavirus epidemic. So far, 24 foreign companies have donated cash and supplies worth 68 million yuan (US$9.8 million), the Jing’an Commerce Commission told Shanghai Daily on Thursday. Luxury group LVMH, whose Chinese headquarters is in Jing’an, has donated 16 million yuan to the Chinese Red Cross Foundation, hoping to relieve the shortage of medical supplies in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak.
